Cantine San Giorgio is an historic winery in the Salento (Apulia) area, founded in 1962 as wine growers cooperative. After careful consideration, the Tinazzi family decided to invest in this territory in 2011 with the wish and the purpose of boosting local viticulture and winemaking, maximizing the potential of typical vine varieties.
Cantine San Giorgio is now an important production reality in one of the most interesting wine region in Italy and has got itself noticed in recent years for the commitment to high quality grapes and wines.
The symbol of Cantine San Giorgio is the "Torre Vinaria”, designed by Emilio Sernagiotto, a 21 meters white tower that houses 6 stores of vats, one underground and five above ground, built to allow the wine to withstand thermal shocks in a region characterized by high temperatures in summer.
